Our approach
KiddoQuest is designed around collecting the minimum information necessary. Accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. Children do not create accounts, do not sign in with their own email address, and do not have public profiles.
Parent-controlled accounts
The parent is the account owner. The parent creates child profiles, quests and rewards, approves completions and redemptions, and can edit or delete any of it at any time.
What we collect
- Parent account: name, email address and authentication details.
- Child profile: a nickname or first name, an optional age group, and an avatar chosen from a predefined set of illustrations.
- Activity: quests you create, completion records, star transactions, rewards and redemptions, and badges earned.
- Billing: your selected plan, amount, payment date, payment reference and subscription status.
What we do not intentionally collect
- Children's email addresses or phone numbers
- Location or GPS data
- Photographs of children or voice recordings
- Public or social profiles, friend lists, or child-to-child messaging
- Advertising identifiers or third-party ad tracking
How we use information
We use your information only to operate KiddoQuest: to show quests and progress, calculate star balances, award badges, manage your trial and subscription, and provide support. We do not sell personal information, and we do not show advertising to children.
Data security and separation
Family data is separated at the database level. Access rules are enforced on our servers so one family can never read or modify another family's children, quests, rewards or progress. Star balances, trial timing, subscription status and administrator permissions are calculated and enforced on the server, not in your browser.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual child profiles, quests and rewards at any time from the app. To delete your entire account and its family data, contact us and we will action the request.
Parent rights
As the account owner you can access, correct, export on request, and delete the information held about your family, and you can withdraw from the Service at any time.
Service providers
We use trusted infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication and database storage. They process data on our instructions in order to run the Service.
A note on compliance
We designed KiddoQuest to minimise children's data. We do not claim certification under any specific children's privacy programme or regulatory framework. If a particular legal requirement applies to your household or country, please review it before using the Service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
